Kids Yoga Camp (4-6) with Yoke Wen, Nov 25 - 29

Orchard Central
Monday - Friday, November 25 - 29, 2019
2pm - 4pm

This November, we would like to invite children 4 - 6 years old to join us for a fun-filled 5 day Kids Yoga Camp. Each day, we will embark on a different exploratory journey into Mother Nature’s spectacular creations. Beautiful creations that we see all around us, and when we gaze within.

This camp is grounded in yoga philosophy, themed using Nature's elements and complemented by other modalities such as art, music, dance and storytelling. Peppered with lots of fun, our yoga camp welcomes all children with keen curiosity and interest to explore the world around them and into themselves.

Join us for a 5-day journey into the mind-body connection, illuminating the practice of compassion, joy, strength, self-awareness, and loving kindness.

ABOUT YOKE WEN LEE

Yoke Wen spent close to 9 years as a social worker protecting vulnerable children known to the child protection system and supporting their families. She strongly believes in promoting children’s rights to live their best lives and reach their potential. She found yoga in 2014 after life-changing experiences and over time discovered the powerful benefits of healing, empowerment and grounding in yoga and meditation.

She completed her RCYT with Divine Light Yoga in January 2018 and is passionate to use yoga to help children and teens feel safe, calm and strong in their bodies, develop skills to cope with feelings of stress and anxiety and build mind-body awareness, which is key as they form their sense of self and their understanding of the world around them.

Integrating wisdom from Yoga philosophy and western research on trauma, Yoke Wen is keen to continue working with children, teens and adults who experienced trauma. She hopes to facilitate a safe space for her students to explore healing, safety and connection in mind, body and breath. She completed her 200 hours teacher training with Tattvaa Yogashala in October 2018, 40 hours of Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) Training with the Center for Trauma and Embodiment at Justice Resource Center in April 2019 and 80 hours of Embodiment and Bodywork Immersion with Yoga with Daphne in July 2019.

Connecting with children has always brought tremendous joy to Yoke Wen and she enjoys sharing yoga with them through their language - fun and play!
