Mums & Bubs Workshop with Jasmine Tay, Apr 25

Orchard Central
Saturday, April 25, 2020
2pm - 3.15pm

This workshop not only focuses on safety and optimising post-natal recovery, but also aims to create a memorable bonding experience with your little ones through practicing yoga together.

Mums will work through a flow consisting of breathing techniques, pelvic floor exercises, upper body stretches, drills with strengthening postures to reconnect to your core and pelvic floor muscles.

Babies will enjoy a series of relaxing massages with organic baby essential oil (optional) for deep relaxation at the end of the session and physical stimulation from the flow with movements, holding, touch, sound and music. The mutual engagement from both mummy and baby will be practiced at a safe pace.

Let go of the idea of what yoga should be like when practising with your little one. We can learn from our baby to focus on the present. They are great reminders of how we can anchor the 'now' in our practice, on and off the mat.

Spread the joy and benefits of yoga to your lovely little ones in a safe and supportive environment.

- There will be modifications for different ages of babies (3-18 months)
- Please modify when needed. Variations will be given.
- Take breaks when needed. Have toys/snacks/drinks on standby.
- One baby to one mum.
- Please wear comfortable clothing.

$40 per Mum and Bubs pair

All proceeds will go to Children's Wishing Well

Yoga has guided Jasmine through her ups and downs since her early 20s. From hustling as an advertising designer, parents’ divorce, loss of loved ones, marriage to motherhood — it still has something to offer through every stage of her life. Her practice of self exploration and empowerment has provided her with beneficial tools to face the lessons in life and new enthusiasm to explore the unknown.

After completing her 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2014, Jasmine also trained and specialises in Navakarana Vinyasa. As a firm believer of lifelong learning, she has also completed trainings in hot yoga, pre/post-natal yoga, anatomy and yin.

She appreciates teaching all styles of yoga from a hot dynamic flow class, an alignment-focused hatha class to a mellow juicy yin class because each has its own value and unique benefits for one’s mind and body.

Jasmine places an emphasis on knowing and honouring one's own limitations, while at the same time nurturing growth through mindfulness and balanced effort. Through her offerings, she continues to hold space for others and this place of service is where she feels most grounded.

"Honor every moment, cultivate gratitude for all, practice for now."
