Bo Srey

Originally from New York, Bo’s spiritual journey began as a student in Paris, where early questions about the nature of reality led him into a deep study of Eastern philosophy. Returning home, he studied with renowned scholar Douglas Brooks before meeting his spiritual teacher—an encounter that profoundly shaped his life and practice. For nearly fifteen years, Bo lived, studied, and served at meditation centers in New York, San Francisco, and India, grounding his teaching in both philosophy and lived experience.

Through this path, he discovered Anusara®️ Yoga, a method of hatha yoga known for its refined alignment principles and life-affirming nondual philosophy. Bo began teaching in 2002 and moved to Singapore in 2005, becoming the first Certified Anusara Yoga Teacher in Asia and helping to introduce the method to the region. He has trained extensively with Anusara founder John Friend and apprenticed with senior Iyengar teacher Tony Briggs.

Bo is an Experienced Certified Anusara Yoga Teacher (ECATT), a Yoga Alliance E-RYT 500, and a Continuing Education Provider. He is among the few teachers authorized to lead 300-hour Anusara Yoga Teacher Trainings worldwide. Over the past two decades, he has taught workshops, retreats, conferences, and teacher trainings internationally, sharing his work across Asia, the United States, and beyond.

Bo views teaching as service. His classes—whether flowing or steady—are known for precise alignment, intelligent sequencing, and meaningful themes that connect physical practice to deeper awareness. In addition to asana, he teaches pranayama and meditation in studios, retreats, corporate leadership programs, and private sessions.

When not teaching, Bo finds inspiration in nature through hiking, mountain biking, and wildlife photography.
