CHOOSING YOUR FIRST CLASS

Our classes are suitable for all levels of experience. We suggest that you try various types of classes to establish what feels the most suitable for you. Our teachers are available to discuss any details that will help with your practice.

WHAT WILL I NEED TO BRING?

Our studios provide natural shampoo and body wash for use in our fully equipped showers. Lockers are available for safekeeping. We provide complimentary fresh towels in our studios. For any extra towel requests, we charge a $2 fee. We also have mats and everything you will need for your yoga practice.

We recommend for students to wear clothing that is light and comfortable.

DO I NEED TO BOOK?

We have a very comprehensive schedule 7 days a week with classes all day long. Our website provides a booking system for you to confirm a space in your chosen class. Bookings for classes can be done 3 days in advance.

ARRIVING FOR CLASS

All classes start and end on time. Please arrive 15 minutes before class to give yourself enough time to get ready. Once the teacher enters the class, no further students will be allowed in.

If you have booked, please note that your place will be given away to waitlisted students 5 minutes before the start of class.

Please give 2 hours notice to cancel your class booking if you are unable to attend.

LEAVING CLASS

Out of respect for the other practitioners in the room, we ask you to stay for the full session unless absolutely necessary. If you feel overwhelmed at anytime, we encourage you to lie down on your mat to rest and rejoin the practice when you feel ready.

HYDRATING BEFORE PRACTICE

Before practicing a hot yoga class, it is suggested that you hydrate fully in the few hours beforehand. We encourage you to bring water into the yoga room, however the majority of your hydration needs to happen before your practice.

EATING BEFORE PRACTICE

We suggest a light snack before practice where needed, rather than a full meal.

HOW DO YOU HEAT THE ROOM?

Hom Yoga uses energy efficient Far Infrared Technology (FIR) designed to effectively heat the room to a specified temperature. FIR heat produces sun-like heat (9-14 microns), which penetrates deep into the human body, activating major bodily functions and firing up cellular metabolism. Read more about the benefits of FIR heat here.

Our ventilation system allows fresh air to circulate through the yoga rooms, to ensure clean and healthy air quality during practice.

INJURIES

It is important to let the teachers know if you have any injuries before class. If in any doubt, see an osteopath, chiropractor, physiotherapist or any body worker that can assess and prescribe as necessary.

PREGNANCY AND YOGA

Yoga is extremely beneficial during pregnancy as a way of connecting to your baby, breath awareness and control for birth preparation, pelvic floor awareness, and lengthening and strengthening of key muscular-skeletal systems and many more.
