Yin Yang
Yin Yang is the amalgamation of two opposing energies. The first half of class 'Yang' is dedicated to a more dynamic asana practice with a primary focus on strength, flexibility and energy shifting. Yin
Yin yoga is a yoga practice, which exercises the tissues of the body in a way unlike any other yoga practice. As we gently stretch connective tissues by holding a yin pose for a long time, the body responds by making the tissues longer and stronger. Yin yoga works with the deep tissues of the joints to make all of the joints supple whilst opening up channels of energy in the body, which have been blocked. This is a non-heated class. Suitable for all levels.

Restorative Yin
Restorative Yin is a mindful and gentle practice focused on conscious relaxation of the body and mind. We will explore the use of yoga props to encourage the body to release deeply held tension. This sends signals to our brains to move towards the parasympathetic nervous system, which releases hormones that restores the body’s ability to rest and digest. Class includes breath work and meditation. This is a non-heated class. Suitable for all levels.

Yin & Meditation

Yin yoga works with the deep tissues of the joints to make all of the joints supple whilst opening up channels of energy in the body, which have been blocked. Yin is also complementary to preparing you for meditation. This class finishes with a 15-minute seated meditation. This is a non-heated class. Suitable for all levels.

Anusara®
In Sanskrit, the word Anusara means to flow with the inner power to awaken — Grace. Anusara yoga is an alignment-focused school of hatha yoga inspired by non-dual tantric philosophy. The central teaching is that Consciousness is manifest as everything and its essence is intrinsic Goodness. Anusara teachers seek to remind students of their intrinsic goodness through aligning the body and mind towards healing, well-being and ultimately the recognition that Consciousness is indeed omnipresent. Each class includes an inspiring heart-centered theme, the Universal Principles of Alignment™ and progressive sequencing to align, open and strengthen. Classes may also include demonstrations, partner work and flow. This is a non-heated class. Suitable for all levels.

Universal® Yoga
Universal® Yoga follows the tradition developed by Andrey Lappa, which weaves modern western science and ancient eastern wisdom together, and seeks to influence the practitioners’ life on and off the mat. It is a holistic practice that works on all koshas (shells) through the complete practice of asanas (physical shell), pranayama (energetic shell), visualisation, mantra, mudra and meditation (all other internal shells). These elements are carefully sequenced in a symmetrical and progressive manner, making students feel a strong sense of balance and serenity at the end of each class. The arrangement of the mats in this class may or may not be cross-shaped. This is a non-heated class. This class is suitable for practitioners with a regular vinyasa and/or Universal® Yoga practice.

Prenatal
Prenatal is a unique yoga experience, incorporating yoga postures and breathing techniques to help you connect with your baby, alleviate discomforts, and lower stress levels. Expect to flow through a series of standing poses, followed by restorative floor work, designed to open and strengthen the muscles, which are essential for labour and postnatal recovery. Join a nurturing and positive community, all transitioning into the role of motherhood.

Postnatal
In postnatal, we will focus on back strengthening, shoulder and chest opening, glute strengthening and stretching, core training, pelvic floor balancing, vinyasas and more. This is a great segue for postnatal women looking to take their foundational training to the next level as they progressively deepen their asana practice, as well as to safely progress towards integrating into regular asana classes.

Mums & Bubs
Mums & Bubs focuses on healing and strengthening the body postpartum, as well as introducing a special mother and child bond. This classes focuses on balancing the pelvic floor, abdomen, legs and back; as well as opening and relieving tension in the shoulders, necks and arms. Mums & Bubs is also a great way for new mums to connect with other new mums and find meaningful connection through the shared experience of motherhood. This class is ideal for babies 4 weeks to 12 months (or any crawling age).

Kids Yoga (4-6)
Kids Yoga (4-6) is an ideal time to begin a yoga practice as their young minds are naturally creative and curious. This class inspires children to use their imagination to teach them about nature and the environment, helping them to learn about the world through their bodies, which develops their innate ability to listen, observe and imagine.

Breath techniques will also be taught via creative and inspired methods. A short period of relaxation encourages them to close their eyes, as they learn to self regulate and prepare for meditation. Role-playing, partner games, and make believe will foster a sense of self belief, and discipline, as well as inspire them to become more connected with their innate awareness. Kids Yoga (7-11)
Kids Yoga (7-11) introduces yoga poses, breathing techniques, visualisation, and deep relaxation to help improve the learning abilities of school-aged children. In this class, we will focus on developing flexibility, strength, balance, and coordination, as we promote the development of self confidence by encouraging the child's imagination and self-expression. Children will learn effective communication and good listening skills, which in turn fosters self-respect, compassion and kindness for themselves, and for others.

Yoga also teaches children that with increased focus, they can increase their attention naturally and promote stillness and quieting of the mind. This can help children deal with the stresses of living in a chaotic world where constant stimulation is a regular part of life. Please visit Mini Glow Yoga Club to enrol.
