John Tattva

John is a full time yoga teacher and a life-long practitioner with a focus on Ashtanga Yoga as taught by Sharath R. Jois at KPJAYI in Mysore, India, where he goes back yearly to continue his learnings.

He stepped on the yoga mat for the first time at the age of 9 as a primary school apprentice and continued through his youth until early adulthood when, after having graduated several intensive yoga trainings, he begun to teach daily in 2009 at Bharat Thakur Artistic Yoga in New Delhi.

After attending regular classes with Ajay Tokas in 2014, he fell in love with the Ashtanga practice and quit the renowned Bharath Thakur Organisation in order to pursue the path of Ashtanga Yoga.

In 2016, John moved to Singapore where he has been conducting Ashtanga and Mysore classes ever since. His focus lies in teaching yoga according to vinyasa principles of linking the breath with the movement. He truly appreciates the benefits of therapeutic yoga and feels honoured to spread positivity to all.

John is forever grateful to all his teachers which he met during his yoga journey. He believes there is no limit to learning and self discovery.
