Join Jasen and Jasmine for a two-hour workshop that presents structured partner-based movements grounded in the principles of yoga. The session develops strength, mobility and flexibility through coordinated partner tasks. Participants learn steady movement, clear communication, breath awareness and shared coordination while having fun. The workshop is suitable for anyone above six years old. Participants may pair up with a kid, parent or grandparent.
Purpose of the session:
- Support mobility through guided joint preparation
- Improve flexibility through safe partner work
- Build strength through accessible shared tasks
- Develop awareness and steady breath in line with yoga principles
- Encourage grounding and connection through partner practice
- Offer an inclusive and progressive introduction to partner yoga
Structure of the workshop:
1. Warm Up
A structured warm up through principles of Hatha-Vinyasa yoga that prepares the spine, shoulders, hips and wrists. Participants use breath to guide movement and set intention for practice.
2. Partner Mobility Drills
Assisted range tasks with controlled motions for major joints. Partners provide stability and clear support while keeping attention on alignment and breath.
3. Partner Strength and Movement Tasks
Progressive shared actions that include balance tasks, controlled lowering, assisted lifts and simple resistance work. Tasks are paced with breath and steady coordination.
4. Partner Yin Poses
This closing section includes all stretch and release work with Yin application. Partners work through long supported holds and assisted stretches that allow deeper access in a safe and stable way. Focus is placed on alignment, presence and an organised use of breath.
Outcome:
- Participants improve strength, mobility and flexibility through guided partner work grounded in yoga principles.
- They develop coordinated movement, breath control and clear awareness while working together.
Both teachers will demonstrate positions, manage transitions, observe, assist participants and maintain a structured yoga-based approach throughout the session.
